Lawrence Ross has lectured at over 1,000 colleges and universities, both HBCUs and predominantly white institutions, throughout the country. He’s also keynoted the Association of Fraternal Leadership Values conferences, the Association of Fraternity/Sorority Advisors, the Northeast Greek Leadership Association, and the Cultural Greeks conference, among others. He has always lectured before IFC and Panhellenic organizations: Beta Theta Pi, Kappa Kappa Gamma, Sigma Delta Tau, and Delta Gamma. Ross received the inaugural Jonathan Brandt Interfraternalism Award from Beta Theta Pi Fraternity.
Blackballed Lecture
From his book Blackballed: The Black & White Politics of Race on America’s Campuses, Ross created one of the most popular campus lectures in the country. Tackling campus racism head-on is educational and entertaining. Among the topics Ross covers are fraternity/sorority racism, the philosophy of white supremacy, and how we can eradicate it. Screenwriting Workshops
Lawrence Ross, a UCLA Film School graduate with an MFA in Screenwriting, has taught screenwriting at UCLA, Hollins University, and the Los Angeles creative space, the Metaphor Club. The Intro to Screenwriting course is eight weeks long and is offered via Zoom and in person. The Advanced course is also offered either via Zoom or in person.
